I have shopped here a few times and have really liked their products - until now.
The main reason I ordered this past time was because I wanted an item for my in-laws. However, I put my order in and have been waiting, until I checked online and the status has been changed to 'Item Canceled - discontinued.' I called Customer Service & told them and I was very concerned about being charged for the item. The woman told me that it had been canceled and they won't be getting any more in.
As for being charged, she said they don't charge your credit card until the item (s) is shipped. I'll be checking my credit card report tonight, you can be sure. I also asked if it was their policy to notify the customer if items have been discontinued. They said an email usually generates out if an email address is provided (which mine was) or if not, the customer should receive a postcard in the mail. I did not recieve either of these 2 things. I talked to the CS Rep & her manager, Jennifer, and told her I would not be shopping with them any longer and Jennifer responded by saying, "I'm sorry if that's the way you feel, ok."
I also ordered 2 flatware chests (1 for myself the other for my mom) and they both have small scratches on the top. I would return them but I'm tired of dealing with them and they're just for our use so it's not too big of deal.
Lastly, I ordered what I thought was a Chicago Cubs stapler & calculator set for my mom. Their website does not say anything about purchasing each item separately. I'm currently trying to find the calculator somewhere else.
*Please also note they now charge a $3 personalization charge, which they haven't done before (and which other companies don't charge). No where on the site does it tell you this UNTIL you start checking out.*
I check on www.bbb.com and as of now PC has an UNSATISFACTORY rating and states, "The BBB processed a total of 377 complaints about this company in the last 36 months, our standard reporting period. Of the total of 377 complaints closed in 36 months, 167 were closed in the last year."
I can't report any complaints to the BBB because my issues cannot be resolved. Please just be aware before ordering - they really don't care about you as a customer.
