I bought a bit over $50 worth of products. It was the most expensive order ever.
I waited & waited. My debit card was processed. Finally, I called. I was told that the iron tabs were back-ordered. Complaint 1) Processing credit card when order is NOT ready to ship. Next, I could have bought iron pills from Walmart. 2) They did not answer my e-mail inquiries. 3) Debited again & again for same order, causing prolific problems leaving me with no money, and fees. These go on one's credit report. My other checks were Bouncing.
I am suffering from an unknown illness and the most important product was the weight gain powder. I called Vitacost, and told the salesperon to credit that debit card. Guess what, he recharged it. Over & over. Costing me overdraft fees at both banks. The one bank removed the fees, the other did not. Vitacost debited my other card, as the other bank had NO MONEY in it by then. The charge had already gone through, THEY NEVER CREDITED my acct.
I called Vitacost & was informed that they would fax my credit union re. Their mistake. They did not. I faxed the salesperson (I have her name) all the debits from my accounts FOR ONE order that ended up costing me several hundred dollars in overdraft fees. She told me that she e-mailed me at my Juno address. Nothing. They have MY TELEPHONE no. They said they would call and follow up on their mistakes. This affected my credit... And several accounts. I want to be compensated for the fees, my credit union contacted, and compensated for my time as Vitacost's personal accountant.
Vitacost defrauded me. I already have complaints agst. My credit union, as I am the victim of ID theft and unscrupulous merchants, one is Vitacost.
I have the names of Vitacost's customer service, and the information required, and the faxes to my banks. My credit union blames me.
I want a letter to my banks. My money refunded in full. Vitacost told me that I would receive 5% off my next order. How nice. My fees refunded. My time compensated... As I was diligent and informed all parties about Vitacost's errors.
I was so sick at the time that I bought from Vitacost, that if they could not send my products I could have found another on-line store. Or asked my friend to bring the supplements & weight gain products here. She lives in another state. I had no-one to help me locally. I told Vitacost that I needed the products Immeditately. The order took MONTHS to arrive over iron TABS!!!
Then when the iron which was substituted with a different brand (and sent with my order) was in stock, Vitacost CHARGED me again. And did not send the iron tabs. Over & over. Do NOT BUY from this company.
I again called Vitacost, on hold forever. The customer service agent told me to call back on Monday. He didn't know anything about the problem. I told him to bring up my account. I believe he said that there were notations of some sort.
I was given different phone nos. To call. Do you know about the "run-around."
This company, in my estimation, owes me at least $1000. And not in products. Fees, and more fees.
They DID NOT email me 24 hours... After the mystery order didnot arrive. Not a word. Just promotions. No customer service.
I am a disabled individual. I watch PENNEYS, dimes, nichels. Vitacost's errors caused a monumental domino effect and LEFT ME BROKE.

Additionally, I did not receive the free promotional products or free shipping, but those are the least of the problems with this company.
I faxed my banks the same information faxed to Vitacost. My credit union, they ignored me. I wrote to them immediately. I did not recover my overdraft fees, charged for multiple orders and only HAD one order.
