This is a copy of the email I sent the company which explains what they are doing.
This credit card account has been charged monthly since October 17.
When I first received the charge I went to the website to look at it for myself. My partner had gone to the site to check it out. He said he did not join period! He showed me the site for myself and he showed me exactly what he had done. With my own eyes I saw that, on the site it said you had to give your credit card number for age verification purposes only! That the card would not be charged. It also required you to choose a user name and password to enter. He looked at the site and then left, not joining, or applying for membership or subscribing.
Then we started being charged, even though he did not subscribe or join. I have already been in touch with your customer support office and they told me they would refund the last three charges. However I want all the charges refunded immediately to my Bank of America account.
I also went to the internet to check out your company and found a slew of web pages claiming that you have been doing this for years and thousands of complaints have been filed against you etc. Etc. For doing the exact same thing, and further that you keep changing your billing name over and over to avoid prosecution etc. If I had only found a few pages I would not be so upset, but when I see a slew of pages from all over saying you did the same thing to them as you did to us, then I definitely believe that you are a scandalous fraudulant company.in fact, you are famous for pulling off this scam. Obviously this was not a mistake.
I have already spoken with Bank of America and sending them copies of the web site page that says your credit card will not be charged. If I have to I will contact my lawyer and file a fraud claim against your company with the proper authorities.in any event, I expect you to refund all charges immediately! And inform me of this asap!
