Beware of these rip-off scam artists!

I placed an order for some tanning lotions on this so-called company's website on 3/25/08 and my credit card was charged the very same day. The product amount was $28.50 plus an additional $9.25 for shipping via Priority Mail for a total of $37.75. I received an email with a confirmation number and a link which would supposedly allow me to track the status of my order. When nothing had arrived after nearly 3 weeks, I became concerned. I regularly order online from reputable companies (such as 1-800-PetMeds) who also ship via U.S. Priority Mail, and I usually receive my merchandise in less than a week, in most cases within 3 to 5 days. When I clicked on the link in my confirming email to check on the status of my order, it did not even indicate whether my order had actually been shipped yet, much less provide any sort of tracking information. It was then that I took the time to read some of the "fine print" on the customer service page of their website, in which they claim to have the "right" (according to Visa and MasterCard policy) to withhold shipment of products for up to 30 days even after payment has been processed. They also claim to have no responsibility for products that might be "lost" in the mail unless the customer opts to purchase additional insurance on top of their already ridiculously inflated shipping charges.in other words, they can routinely charge their victims for products they never actually ship, and the customer is then left with no recourse since they provide no tracking information. I sent them an email requesting confirmation that my order had actually been shipped, along with the date of shipment and valid tracking information, or an immediate refund if my items had still not been shipped nearly 3 weeks after charging my card. I got no response. I have since learned that they also have an "unsatisfactory" rating with the Better Business Bureau, due to the large number of similar complaints filed against them and their lack of response to same. When I tried calling the phone number listed for them on the BBB's site (317-882-1834) it turned out to be someone's home fax number. This poor lady said she has received countless calls about this company and suggested I report them to the Indiana State Attorney General's Office, since they were obviously "scam artists." That is exactly what I intend to do, and I suggest that anyone else who has been ripped off by these crooks do the same. Of course, I have also disputed the charge with my credit card company.
