I purchased a video card with a $10 retailer mail in rebate on 8/25, and sent in all the paperwork a few days later. The submission was within rebate specifications.By the third week of November, I received nothing, so I called ClubIT.
My first conversation was with Anton. He told me that there must have been a problem at the post office, and he told me to resubmit all the paperwork for the rebate and write "ALLEN GAVE APPROVAL." Anton told me ClubIT would make this one exception. I thanked Anton and resubmitted all documents.
I waited another two weeks, and there was no rebate update in my ClubIT account, so I called again. I spoke to Anton and explained the situation to him. He told me he'd check the rebate room and give me a call back. He gave me a call back within 2 to 3 hours and told me that "there was a bag of mail in the back room that they failed to see." Anton apologized, said ClubIT would go through the mail, and told me to give them a call if I didn't get anything in 2 weeks.
I waited another 2 weeks and gave ClubIT a call. I spoke to a lady who said she'd do some research and call me back in 1 hour. I waited 4 hours, called ClubIT back, told them that I'd file a report with the BBB. After my phone call, the lady called back and left a voicemail saying they found my rebate submission.
It is now almost 5 months since I've purchased the product and submitted all rebate forms. Chu Vang, their customer service manager, is more concerned about trying to get me to believe that Anton really didn't say that they found a bag of rebates, but that he instead said "they are still receiving rebates which they have not yet processed."
Firstly, no there was no miscommunication. Secondly, I wouldn't make up a story about a bag of rebates. Thirdly and MOST IMPORTANTLY, WHERE IS MY MONEY? 5 months is 2 months past the grace period that your Company outlined in the rebate's Terms and Conditions.
