I researched a new HP computer on the internet, then called to order specifics needed. Am considered articulate, and woman taking order indicated she understood I needed Word, Powerpoint and Publisher. Because my old computer had crashed, I needed the new one a.S.A.P., and she told me it would cost an addition $120.00 for 2-day delivery. I agreed to pay that and the total price came to about $1250.00.
When it arrived, they had sent a Student's edition of Word and Powerpoint - but no Publisher. I called to find out why and Customer Service told me I would have to send back the entire machine and pay ANOTHER $140.00. I refused, claiming that their representative had quoted me a price for the order I wanted, and that they should 'make good' for that price. They refused. I told them they could have the computer back, and they indicated they would send UPS for it, but would not refund my $120.00 for shipping.
I am now days behind in my work (I freelance), still have no computer, and am out $120.00.
