Like others on this site, I got a check in the mail with a letter stating to deposit the check and withdraw $2700. After I did this I was supposed to call the phone number and get the instructions to received the rest of my $250k prize.
I called the number before I went to the bank and it was a female who asked me if I understood what the letter said. I told her I wasn't cashing it unless I knew it was legitimate. She told me to go to onlinegambling.com and read about it there. She was very aloof and would not give me any other information. I wish I could remember her name!
I took the check to my bank and they told me they had a whole drawer full of things like this.
After going online and finding this site, I will be calling the Attorney General's office for my state and the BBB tomorrow to let them know about it. I have also emailed onlinegambling.com.
The envelope was mailed from Canada, the check is from PA and the address of Kevin Francis & Associates on the check is a PO Box in PA, and his letterhead has an address from Texas on it.
