I had a web-account with advances.com since 1999 and everthing worked fine till March. Probably by this time advances.com was sold to andhosting.com and trouble started in a big way. No notice was send to customers about migrating the service to another firm (andhosting.com).
First the mail accounts where down for several weeks and the support postponed the solution week after week without any explanation. So no mails could be received and many customers phoned angrily.
After that, about by June the website went up and down, hidding pages, asking password to enter the homepage, not connecting to the ftp part of the URL, ecc. So the website is allmost useless for a commercial site as it is. The support is NOT answering trouble tickets or only after one week. Not a great service for somebody who claims 24/7 service!
The only thing who works perfectly is the billing departement, taking money for a full year subscrition even if the contract is on billing on a monthly base. However after some days the amount was recharged to the credit card with a small loss.
To make it short: hosting on andhosting.com is not a great deal!
