PeoplePC was instructed to cancel the free trial service and did for a couple months. Later I found they were debiting my checking account using the account number I had to give just to try their service. I never tried the service as I was told it was a rip-off and to be wary. I called and cancelled thinking that was all I had to do.
I have since tried numerous times to contact them by phone and the longest time I spent on hold was three hours after which I hung up. I have been unable to find a physical address for mail. I had my bank cancel the auto-debit and that worked for a couple months but then I noticed it began over again. The bank advised I would need to contact PeoplePC.
I finally just gave up and have since been debited monthly by PeoplePC. I have never used their service. It is beginning to look like legal action is the only recourse but, I found this site through Google search so will try one more time.
