AllVantage.com was bought out by PEOPLE PC. AllVantage Customers had the option to allow their accounts to rollover to PEOPLE PC or cancel their accounts by 06-17-07.
I phoned the AllVantage Support number on 06-15-07 to cancel my account as of 06-21-07. And received confirmation that my account would be cancelled.
Today 08-03-07 my credit card was billed by XLC Corp North at (401) 667-7500. XLC is the account which requests payments. When the $ amount is paid, it appears as AllVantage.com ISP.
XLC Corp is no longer a business. Allvantage.com is now People PC. ALL LINKS FOR ALLVANTAGE NOW DIRECT TO PEOPLE PC.
I phoned People PC, I was told that I do not have an account with them. And they requested my credit card information. Which I refused to supply to them.

Today I notified my credit card company to cancel my card.
I am filing this report for other Allvantage.com customers to be AWARE of my situation. Hoping they will check their accounts to insure they are not being charged for services no longer provided by this company.
I believe this is theft by deception. Fraud. Punishable by Law.
