I bought a MacBook Pro laptop with extended 3-year warranty from Nice Electronics in July. The warranty is with Mack Camera - on calling them to register my warranty they needed the bill of sale from Nice Electronics as proof of purchase. On attempting to call Nice Electronics, their phones were disconnected, and looking at their website I discovered they had just gone out of business! No bill of sale: no warranty, even though I paid $600 for it. I cannot dispute this with the credit card company as they don't cover warranties in disputes, and with no way of contacting the former company there is no proof on which to base any dispute. I'll be interested to know if there is any class action against this former company.
