Not honoring warranty contract

I purchased a TV from Ultimate Electronics on 1/20. The TV cost 3300.00 so I purchased a 399.00 warranty from them. I have the warranty contract, the receipt showing the purchase and the charge on my card. Ultimate Electronics went bankrupt in 2005. I have the warranty however, showing Warrentech as the insurer of the warranty. I have been dealing with them since Nov 3, for a month. This is where we currently stand. It has taken a lot of time to arrive at this point. Warrantech is claiming they were never paid for the warranty by Ultimate, even though I paid 399.00 for the warranty. I have the contract stating warrantech is the insurer. I feel warrantech should have had better control of the warranties they put out there and it should be their loss, not mine.

They have stopped communicating with me this week. The person I was talking to Shawn Hicks, is out of town. He forwarded my paper work to the VP. Valarie Stacey (817) 785 6111, is handling his calls. Time is running out. My warranty expires January 20. If they stall long enough during the holidays, they think I will go away. Warrantech handles many warranties, and this may be a class action suit or at least small claims court, if they do not feel they have the responsibility to honor their contracts.in light of the many businesses closing in this economy, the buyer needs to be aware of the possibility their contracts won't be paid.By the way, Circuit City owned Ultimate Electronics. How many warranties are they not paying for in their bankruptcy?
