Not honoring valid warranty

I have worked with warrantech the past month on a 5 year warranty I purchased through Ultimate Electronics on January 20. Ultimate went bankrupt in 2005. I paid 399.99 for the warranty on a 3300.00 tv. Warrantech is now saying that although I purchased the warranty, Ultimate did not pay them and they do not have a liability to cover the warranty. I have a contract from Ultimate, which states the insurer is Warrantech. I also have the receipt, the statement where it was charged and the date the last pmt was made, I feel that if I have a contract with warrantech, they were the ones liable to collect the warranty, not me as a consumer. As you can see time is running out on the warranty. If warrantech can stall through the holidays, the warranty will run out January 20. I have also been talking to Valarie Stacey 817 785 6111. If I can get this on tv I can warn people buying warranties from Circuit City (at the time they were the parent of ultimate electronics) of the possibility their contracts won't be valid if not paid by the company going bankrupt.in light of all the bankruptcies going on, consumers need to be aware. Warrantech has cost me time and money trying to resolve this matter, and have not talked to me in a week now.
