I'm reporting that i did not have a running account with AOL Inc. I used there promotional dvd, and when time came to cancel before being charged i did. I informed the young man that my computer had crashed and i no longer could use there service, because i did not know when i will be getting a new computer. I even received a confirmation number. I still received letters from aol stating that i had a balance. I called the company and spoke with some one who said they were the manager. Lady went thru everything with me and confirmed that i had cancelled and the confirmation number, they sent a letter indicating that i did not owe them anything. This was april 12,05 that i had this account problem, and it wasn't until june that it was cleared up. Now i'm hearing from NCO Finacial systems inc. Stating that i have an account bill of $86.70 in collections. I don't owe AOL Inc. Anything. If they need to here from my Lawyer to clarify the matter than i will file a countersuit. The only person who owes the money would be the young man who thought he would be slick and keep the promotional account going, after i had already cancelled.
