I recently joined prosper learning in hopes to build several home based businesses. I was told they would provide a mentor, experienced, successful and would guarantee they would work with me and my family to help us be successful. The cost $8,000. Yes, I thought this was high, but if you get the service and knowledge to start a business and it's guaranteed then I felt comfortable.
The first call was with a 24 year old college student who introduced himself as our mentor. He assigned us homework, reading and submit 5- ideas that we would like to sale on the internet. I emailed my response and he never responded. The email actually went to someone else.
I called prosper and told them I wanted someone experienced, successful and had a proven track record. Since this is what I was paying for. They agreed and said they would have to re-schedule the following week. I finally got access to the website and found someone else assigned to me and that I had had one call with the mentor and has missed the second call. (Now, they're our of their guarnatee). I left several messages to no avail. Finally, I got in touch with the person that signed us up and she told me the situation would be taken care of.
The next week I sent an email letting them know we needed to take the call 1-hour later, which was agreed to during my initial conversation, and this was declined. Said I did not give them enough notice. So, now I'm into this thing 3-weeks, no mentor call but have lost 3-weeks. So, I decided to go to the website and read the material availble. I found out I could not access all of the programs just ecommerce... I had to pay to learn how to be successful in the other areas. Wow... I was shocked! I called and told them I wanted out of the program since I felt it was totally misrepresented and a scam. I waS informed the only way to get out of the program was to be physically and/or mentally unable to complete the program which would be decided by THIER committee. However, was also told it was impossible for me to get a refund since I was having a conversation with them. What a RIP OFF!!! I put the program on hold, per their suggestion, until I could find help with an attorney or a group like yours.
Please do not deal with this company... They are absolutely the biggest rip off out there...
