On August 4th I ordered personalized shotglasses from discountmugs.com. A promise date of August 26th was given.
August 8th $232.01 was deducted from my account.
August 23rd shotglasses were shipped out. Unfortunately no one knew that an employee mixed up adresses and files. My shotglasses were sent and had 4 attempted deliveries in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I live in Mountain View California.
I tracked down this information myself as discountmugs.com 24hr customer service (an answering machine stating someone will contact you in 24-48 hours) were unwilling to help.
August 29, the correct information was given to UPS and I was given a promise date of September 5 (this was only 11 days before my sons wedding) All the shotglasses needed to be filled with candy, wrapped in cellophane and tied with bows and thank you cards, all 144 of them.
I contacted discountmugs.com and asked for the supervisor. I reached Namech. She was rude, demeanining, blamed me for her employees anxiety and the hurricane coming, offered no solution or compensation. Stated she had other customers on the lines she needed to go deal with them. As a matter of fact she hung up on me. I called her back. She continued to be rude, I got absolutely nowhere with her.
I waited at home all day September 5 & 6th. No shotglasses came. I called UPS and they stated the shotglasses are considered lost as there had been no logging on them since August 31st. They advised me to call the company and let them know they were lost non-deliverable.
I called discountmugs.com and politely asked to speak to a supervisor, but not Namech as she was so rude before. After explaining things to Danielle she put me through to Namech who got on the phone and said "now you listen here Kim, we are all fed up with your phone calls. Do not call here again, you will get a refund and she then hung up on me, again.
I called back and reached Miriam, she spent about an hour with me on the phone trying to figure out this mess. She asked me to wait one more day. Several times I asked for an email address and a name of who I could report their supervisor to for her conduct with me after 5 times asking I was given an email address. I have yet to receive a reply.
September 7th (my birthday, was supposed to be out of town but need the shotglasses for the wedding) I stayed home until 5:15PM. Still no glases. Left for birthday dinner.
Miriam promised to call me in the AM on the 8th.By 11am hadn't heard from her so I called. She claimed she not only called but sent an email, she was excited she said I got my glasses. I had not. The emails she sent were to the wrong address. Nothing had been fixed, all the wrong info still remained. I asked for an immediate refund.
It is now September 14th and I still have no shotglasses and no money in my account, so I cant go buy replacement wedding favors. I told all three women I am handicapped and on a very limited income, I needed the refund immediately as I have no extra income and I need extra time due to disability to make them.
This company failed to complete a contract in the time specified with the product specified. They offered absolutely no compensation, resolutions, they would not redo an order on a rush and ship overnite, they basically took the money, blamed me, talked down to me and made every attempt to make an already difficult situation that much harder.
My rheumatiod arthritis and blood pressure flared up terribly during this time and has not subsided yet.
