I want to alert others as to the hardline tactics Shadow Shopper uses with its Members. If you make an honest mistake in forgetting to change the automatic renewal feature after signing up for the 30 Day Trial Membership, you are * out of luck!
I tried to call them, but got a recorded message that directed me to email the company with any questions I may have. So I emailed some guy named Johnathon who emailed me back with a reply that reiterated all the terms and conditions and he basically stated in his own words I knew full well what the terms and conditions were, agreed to them and have noone to blame but myself. He ended the email with ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I have no other recourse except by alerting others through consumer complaints. And was actually interested in renewing my membership to a 90 Day membership but Johnathon couldn't care less.
BEWARE: After Shadow Shopper entices you with their 30 Day Trial membership for a reduced fee and gets all of your credit card info, the charging of your account for a Full Year's membership is automatic AFTER 30 DAYS and they state it is 'For Your Convenience'. Unless, YOU change the automatic billing of your account by going to their website, logging on and going to the Accounts section. There you have the option of selecting: a Non-renewal, a Monthly or a 90 Day membership.
BE SURE to print out or copy & paste the entire page pertaining to your 30 Day Trial Membership if you join. And mark your calender as such. As Shadow Shopper does not send you a confirmation email after your purchase of the 30 Day Trial Membership which states the Renewal Terms for your membership. It is set in stone. I really don't know if their jobs are legit as I have not yet applied for more than one job offer through them. I do know that quite a few of the jobs they email to me are low paying ones that barely compensate you for the stuff you are required to buy. And many of the listed jobs they send you fail to list the pay for the jobs like they do in their free Bronze Membership.
