PayPal and Ebay
PayPal was bought by eBay. Their scam is:
An item was sold by me on eBay. I have completed over 230 successful transactions on eBay over the past 4 years. The item was paid for through PayPal. Our feedback is 100% positive, NO bad feedback, NO netural feedback.
A week after the sale an email from PayPal arrives stating that the person (whose identity shall remain private to protect him) who bought the item used a stolen credit card to pay for the item! Also that the $700 was removed from our PayPal account and that we MUST add funds via wire-transfer from our bank and/or credit card to replace those funds!
We of course emailed PayPal and eBay right away to verify this information. PayPal replied, eBay did not! We also made several telephone calls to PayPal. After a detailed time consuming search of the PayPal site to locate their hidden customer service' phone number. We had to locate it another way.
The PayPal customer service rep was of NO help. Stating that the person used a stolen credit card. As another week passes, the item is delivered, signed for at the address (registered' and confirmed by PayPal at the persons account at PayPal) and a positive comment is posted by the buyer for us at our eBay account.
Here is where the story gets EVIL! After numerous calls, emails to PayPal and eBay. PayPal went into our account and PULLED money away from people that we had previously paid from funds in our PayPal account deposited BEFORE and used to pay for items that we bought on eBay again BEFORE we even listed, sold and received payment for, the $700 item in question.
The people contacted us of course asking why PayPal took money back from their accounts and sent them emails stating that we had used a stolen credit card to pay for the item! The exact same email that we received from PayPal concerning the $700 item in question! Of course by then the buyer of same $700 item had contacted us and knew nothing about a stole credit card! As for us, we never, ever NOT once used a credit card to pay anyone thru Paypal or for anything on eBay. Money we paid out was either wire-transferred into our PayPal account from our bank or from funds already in the account at PayPal from items that we sold on eBay.
WHAT is going on here at PayPal. Is everyone using stolen credit cards? Obviously not. Isnt that slander? To state that we used a stolen credit card.
Well PayPal has continued to drain money from each and every user who we paid for items from PayPal. Assuming that those people have funds in their account at that time.
We obviously did not put $700 back into our account without knowing the truth of the situation. Plus the emails that accuse us of using stolen credit cards' being sent out to justify PayPals removal of funds from other accounts has left us no choice but to NOT do business with them.
Do anyone know of any of the NUMEROUS class actions suits out there that have been filed against PayPal? (and Ebay company) Please advise us!
We have been harassed by the users / former buyers and sellers who have been also victimized by PayPal as they are recovering' the $700. Yet send out FRAUDULANT emails about us. We are most likely going to be sued by one or more of the former buyers over this whole thing. We are SICK about it!
Certainly NO other bank in this country could get away with such FRAUD! E;g; If a person paid you with a credit card or wrote you a check at your bank. And then said credit card or check was unpaid or stolen, there is NO WAY that your bank would go into your account see who you wrote checks to and REMOVE money from those other people/businesses that you have PREVIOUSLY paid and or sent money to! It is ILLEGAL to do so! This IS EXACTLY what PayPal has done!
And to add insult to injury: eBay has since SUSPENDED our 100% perfect account and charged our account and received payment for our fees, which were not due for another 2 weeks! Stating that we have been removed as sellers/buyers for violating the terms of their fair trading community! Excuse me?
