I purchased an Inspiron 1200 laptop from Dell in July. It is now May and the motherboard has started to go out. I called Dell and they charged me $42 just to talk to them to diagnose the problem. Then after telling me that I would have to ship the computer to them, they wanted $159 for shipping etc. And $199 to replace the internal speakers. Then at that time, call me to discuss the cost of the motherboard. It just seemed to me that the computer was poorly made for it to go out this soon.
