Dell needs to have a recall on all laptops/notebooks with the power port connected to the motherboard this way PERIOD... This is getting larger every day! Do a search online. Its amazing what a large problem this is... A recall is needed. I have 3 inspiron notebooks not yet a year old... And the power ports are shorting out power on and off on all 3 not even a year old! Its not going to get better or go away. Its a very bad design for the ac power port on the motherboard. No support around it to protect it! Its a laptop/notebook for crying out loud! Its going to be traveling! We are stuck with laptops/notebooks we CAN NOT use. And the only way to make it better is a better design. Replacing the motherboard just starts you all over with the same type ac port problem... The design will be the same! And resoldering the ac port to the motherboard still wont fix the problem cause eventually it will also begin to break loose... The motherboard ac port needs to be redesigned! I have been a good customer to dell. I have bought lots of equipment from them... And look how good customers are treated... DELL RECALL THESE MOTHERBOARDS!!! To read more complaints. Also just do a search online. Laptop / notebook ac/dc power port problems. Someone out there please help. We need someone to stand up take notice. I am out so much money... And Dell does not care. They are getting away with murder. Dell offers to replace the motherboard with the same crappy motherboard for an outrages price. I am complaining becausing I am hoping and praying that someone will get ahold of this information and take care of this huge problem. Dell needs to fix this... Or give me my money back
