The scam artist buyer dawn devite ordered $112 in merchendise at my site paying by paypal. I have been a member of paypal since march and have 650 verefied transactions. 6 weeks later paypal informs me that the transaction has been charged back by the credit card company on the grounds that the purchased items were never delivered. Well thinks i-all these years of paying paypal is going to do some good. As per regulation tracking is required to be covered under paypal seller protection. So i copy the delivery confirmation reciept in pdf format and attach it to the specific address with the case number. Paypal allows 7 or 10 days for this, i forget, but i send the evidence proving that the goods were delivered to the specified address, anpther mandatory rule for coverage. The next day in my paypal acct it still shows no response by me - i think this is typical of corporate time frames and give it another day. The next day i resend the copy of the reciept and a seperate email asking why it still shows no response. The next day i call the postmaster of east windsor new york and get a little information that could help me even though i am 100% confident the ruling will be in my favor. I send this in an email and again i attach the reciept proving delivery - on the last day that the evidence has to arrive i send several emails to paypal asking why my account shows no response still and again attach the evidence. The next week in my email is the decision against me $117 deducted from my checking acct and no explanation from paypal. After several days and numerous emails all i can figure is that delivery confirmation is not acceptable as tracking since i followed the rules to a t. I finally get a response from some lacky who claims that i never submitted proof of delivery. I email back saying youre nutz-i attached it to a dozen emails. I can just see the snicker on this lowlifes face when he types "we dont open attachments at paypal for security reasons" so i go over the rules and any page remotely associated with this subject and nowhere on the paypal site does it say not to turn in the evidence by attachment. And it doesnt say anything about this subject except in one sentence. This sentence says to send it by usps and it gives a fax number. So they have it set up for a high percentage of first-time chargeback victims-deserving or not to lose by default, mainly because they will not respond to email requests reguarding this issue until their time limit has passed. I wonder how many hard earned millions of dollars they have stolen regular people over the years with this purposely set trap they have down to a science? I have no respect for straight out theives but at least they admit what they are and dont hide behind a facade of respectability like this company does-and they even charged me an xtra $10 FOR THE PRIVILIDGE
