Signed on assuming they would stand behind their 30 days try for free ad. Fell for their ad which mocks the AOL character and paying twice as much. Realized a week later when my son went to sign on that there is only one master account as opposed to AOL's seven screen names. Would have phoned but no customer service on weekends. Emailed them instead and their repley was to call. Called on monday but due to large call volume was disconnected. Called tuesday and was told there is no refunds since I signed a contract. I entered credit card info and decided to go for a 5 month prepaid along with spam eliminator for $60.25. No refund because I hit a continue button which says by hitting you agree to the terms of service. Looked later and #4 says there is termination but you have to scroll way down and it is buried among 24 headings inside a small box which is hard to read. At any rate, I have never seen a company that does not give a refund to an unhappy customer. Service was rude too. I told them that if I did not have four others in the house and did not want to share an account I would recommend them to someone like my mother and she said since you already paid (not getting money back by this ripoff company) then I should give it to her. AOL is worth 5 times the price of this company. When I called them to tell them I was quitting. I got this month free.
The CEO of People was quoted in Forbes as saying they are doing good by "putting people first". I can't tell! Avoid this company like the plague.
