This weeks ad circular distributed by Office Depot has what I believe to be bait and switch tactics in it. The circular is good from 2/19/06 through 2/25/06. On page 2 there is an offer that seems too good to be true, The price was $499.00 after rebates of a total of $300.00 for a Toshiba notebook computer with Intel Celeron M processor 380. Model # A105-S1013... SKU 666-139.

Here is my story, I went to the local office depot at 8:00 am on 2/20/06 to wait for them to open. When they opened i was the only person there and I went straight to the computer sales person and asked him for the model described above. But as I figured they were sold out and not expected to get any more in even though they hadn't had any in stock when the sale started the day before.
I spent several hours in that store with the sales man trying to locate this model anywhere in the United States Of America and was only able to locate 2,1 in Florida and 1 in Illinios, I live in N.Y. And the stores would not transfer it to my store. I have been back to the local store for three days straight and none of the stores in this entire east coast have gotten any in. I will keep trying until the sale end on saturday but I think we have all been scamed!!!
