Office Depot advertises an HP G60-230US 16" Widescreen Notebook Computer With Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T4200 Item # 817695 on their website for a total sale price (after rebates) of $479.99. Prices are effective through 1/10. This item is currently sold in stores only.
However, there are no stores that have it. According to the Office Depot rep at 800-GO DEPOT, they can not tell me a store in the the chain that does have it on hand. There is no statement on this online ad that states limited quantities, while supplies last or no rainchecks.
Online nor the store can order them. I can't get a raincheck. I have contacted Customer Service by phone (they hung up on me!) and I have emailed Customer Support. I have heard no response.
This is deceptive advertising. I would completely understand if it was while supplies last or if the web reflected out of stock. However that is not the case from the internet ad. I have been after this laptop for 2 days.
I have a right to purchase this laptop at the advertised price and Office Depot officials will not respond to my concerns of their illegal tactics.
