During the week of 5/7/06 to 5/13/06 Office Depot had several canon cameras on sale with instant rebates & discounts. I was interesred in buyin Canon A610 camera. On Office Depot web site the camera was listed for $199 (after $50 instant rebate) plus a coupon with code 026410885 for $30 online rebate. On May 13, when I tried to place the order I got an error message saying that the camera was out of stock. So I called Office depot at 1-800-GO-Depot and talked to somebody but I don't remember her name. I was told that camera was of out of stock & Office Depot will njot back order it as was last year's model. But after mid-night i. E on May 14, the same camera mysteriously reappered as being in stock but at a price of $249.99.
To me it seems thar Office Depot rep lied to me that camera was out of stock because it reappeared as being in stock after the sale ended. Also, it seems that Office Depot wanted to sell only a limited quanity on a sale price. But this fact wasn't disclosed on their web site.
After reading several horror stories about Office Depot on your web site I am now onvinced that lot of these companies are palaying bet & setch game to frustrate the customer.
