Okay First of all, let's make this clear. I do NOT and have NOT worked for this company. I have an individual (best friend) that does work for the company. She has just graduated from a University in the spring. She was fresh out of college and hungry for $ and a job. The job search was not going as good as she hoped and she was getting sort of desperate as the summer went on.
One day she came upon JOHNSTON MARKETING INSIGHTS on CARREEBUILDER.com / MONSTER.com. SCAM!
From day 1 when she first found the job, the description didn't seem right to me. Make "$thousands$ in months.." "own your own company in months".. BS! She told me about the job and decided to apply for it. Bam... Not soon (im talking a day / minutes) after she applied she had an interview. Before she was even in for the interview, they had her hooked.
She was so excited because they were SO excited to meet her. She seemed like the BEST candidate for the job.
1st interview... She did wonderful. Told her she was the cream of the crop. The best... But she would need to come back for a second interview so they could be sure. After the interview they asked her to come along with a manger for the day to see what it was like. BAM! They had her... He schmoozed her up and down all day long. Telling her about the thousands she was going to make and how rich she is going to be. She was gone from 7am till 7pm. Didn't make a dime but it didn't matter, She was "training" and she would be an owner soon.
2nd interview... Got the job. Did wonderful. Going to be wonderful. Going to be Rich and own a company. She did so well in the 2nd interview that she got to sit in on other interviews.
Prob #1. You dont own a comapany in 6 months and make a shit ton of money. Not realsitic or everyone would be doing this. Im just about to be a college grad, now if this was true... Wouldnt every college student be doing this?!?!?
Prob #2. The motivational atmosphere. Any just tiny gullible person could get sucked up into it. She would get to the office at 7am and play pictonary and other mind games and chants. She said the atmosphere was so "motivational" and made you want to succeed because "you can!". Yes, you can... I believe in her more than anyone but not in this. Especially after reading all these STORIES THAT ARE ALL THE SAME. Wake up and smell the coffee!
prob #3. The money... Of yes the $money$. A month and half after working there (420hours later) she gets a HUGE, WHOPPING BLING BLING PAY CHECK OF $700! Boss says. Your pay check is well over $1600 but I have to tax it. AND HE CONVINCED HER THAT IT WAS OKAY TO DO THAT! She believed it (I know most of you are thinking. Wow this girl must be retarded. She's NOT! She's so smart, and such a great person... She's just been brainwashed!)
Now she may have made a couple more hundred here in there but honestly no more than $2-$300 dollars on top of the $700. Also 420 hours later. Plus gas $ she spent driving around and $ for eating out all the time. Also all the dress clothes she had to buy. I know she has to be maxing out her credit cards even though she won't admit it. She has to be. She didn't have $ going into the job and she's not making hardly any $. They keep telling her, its coming, big check, commission check, Your going to be RICH! Now she is no longer living in Pittsburgh. They moved her to Atlanta for training and then now she's living in Memphis doing the same thing.
This is sucks..
I even showed her this website. She read some articles and said, I heard about this. It's all bullshit. These are people who couldn't make it. They didn't have what it takes to be the best. < Must have been included in the training. Hopefully she at least got paid while she was getting brain washed!
IM not some ex-boyfriend that's mad because he lost his girl IM not a disgruntled parent who's lost heir daughter.
IM am a PISSED OFF friend who's loosing my Best Friend to a bunch of losers and retards that take advantage of people.
She'll realize some day, I know she will. She's a good person!
