Bad Customer Service, Fraud, Lies Ripoff

After failing to check usacomplaints.com prior to ordering a Dell, I made the mistake of calling them up and placing an order. As of the writing of this, I have not yet received the unit and will be refusing shipment when it arrives. Here is my experience:

I ordered the 1200.00 system via phone sales this was quick, easy and pleasant. The agent made special deals and gave me one time discounts for this and that including free second day delivery.in fact, I was given a choice between a rush build and free 2nd day delivery; I chose the latter. I questioned this repeatedly to be sure it was accurate and was repeatedly assured there was no need to worry. We went over my address FOUR times to make sure he had it correct after listening to him repeat it correctly a couple of times, I felt comfortable he had it correct. Jump forward 5 days.

I receive a call from UPS that they cannot deliver the computer because of a bad address yup, Dell had left a digit off the address despite repeating it numerous times. Plus, as an added bonus, Dell shipped it ground instead of 2nd day as promised. Needless to say, this was unacceptable. Time to call Dell.

When I called Dell, I received Morzing in India. This was a shock since the sales rep assured me that they used Texas, Tennessee, Australia, Panama City, but certainly not India hmmm how did I get to India then? I explained the situation to the non-English speaking Indian and was told I could get a coupon for 35.00 off a future Dell what the hell? I don't want a future Dell they can't even make good on the one I am ordering! Then I was told I could get a 10.00 discount off my order because that is what 2nd day shipping costs ANOTHER LIE! 2nd day shipping on their website is 120.00! I asked to speak to the original salesman in Texas and was told that they can't contact the US now that is stellar customer service. I asked to be transferred to the US and was told to keep calling the Dell 800 number until I got the US call center wow! Note: 9 calls later, still getting India.

I called corporate ha! Some lady answers the switchboard and dumps me back to India. I call back, explain the situation a second time, and get transferred to a voicemail; a third call, voicemail; a fourth call, different FULL voicemail (can't even leave a message); a fifth call, Panama City; a sixth call requesting this lady's supervisor results in transfer to a number that rings indefinitely (Dell's famous phantom managers that do not exist); a 7th call to request the order be cancelled gets me back to India; call 8 is back to voicemail; call 9 back to India. There will be no call 10.

Dell has the absolute worse customer service I have ever experienced I have never been subjected to such lies, blatant misrepresentation, and poor service in my life. I would suggest you run from Dell like it was a virus or disease if you get infected with this you may never get cleared of it. I will be doing a chargeback, filing formal complaints with everyone I can find, and refusing shipment. If just one person reads this and does not purchase a Dell, then I feel it was worth it as I saved at least one person from undue suffering and duress.

Run from dell! Run from india! Boycott this lying, poor service company!
