Horrible customer service from Dell - canaon digital camera

I ordered a canon camera from Dell on Sept 5-having been a repeat customer-I knew they ship fast and the price was very competitive. When I did not get the camera by 9/10/09-I called Dell Customer service -which is in India and was told the camera was on backorder I would have it by the Holidays (it was a Christams gift). I called 9/24,10/6,10/20,10/31 & 11/5 and got the same story the camera was on back order. Then I went on "my Account" on the Dell website-I thougt it was for my Dell charge but it was actually to track your order. There was the order for the camera placed on 9/5 only it noted it was delivered by UPS on 9/10-only I was told6 times by Dell customer support it was on back order. So Icalled Dell again and spoke to customer service again in India-I was called a liar-told I never called-was never told the camera was on backorder and that since I had not called 21 days after the camera was dleivered Dell would neither reship, trace the order or take this off my charge. UPS did an investigation and the package was left on my porch while I was at work on 9/10 I do not know who took the package
I worte to CEO Michael Dell who passed this off to yet another person in India in customer resolution who again called me a liar about calling 6 times looking for the camera and said since I never called 21 days since the delivery date they would not replace the camera -had I called 21 days from 9/10 they wopuld have replaced it since I never received it. They have ignored the fact that I called 6 times looking for it-was given incorrect information by their customer service unit-so I am paying for a Christmas gift I have not received and will not give to my daughter.
Michael Dell was too busy to give this to someone professional and handle this for a repeat customer. I am disgusted with the manner in which I was treated and being that I am in a customer service field had I treated a customer in this manner I would have been terminated I willnever buy another Dell product
