Fraudulent telephone billing

Received charges from these companies for calls I did not make. The calls were made from my computer by a program I did not intentially download and had no control over.
One call to InfoServiciZZ a "900" number for $15.96 and three calls billed on behalf of Opticom to Manhattan, Reno and Los Angeles.

Each of the calls billed to Opticom was for approximately $15.00. All of these calls were made on the same night within a half hour.

My wife called Opticom and integretel and was successful at having the charges removed (they said that it may take 2 months for the charges to be removed). They were reluctant to remove the charges at first and offered a 50%discount. Eventually they agreed to remove the charges completely.

While I cannot say with 100 percent certainty that these companies are responsible for writing the virus that hijacked my modem, they sure have the financial motive to do so. I plan to file a complaint with the ftc and/or the fcc.
