Had computer optical drive repaired and after the month it was returned. The left shift key and caps lock are non functional. Returned the computer for repair and they refused saying it showed signs of water damage. I told them that liquids were never near the computer and could have only happened while they had it. I was told why would they get water in it. Hmm; so they wouldn't have to fix it. Their attitude was prove it.
I consulted with a local repair service and was told water couldn't cause this kind of damage. It had to be damage to a board, the ribbon cable or the jack it connects to. It must have happened while they were replacing the optical drive.
They are denying service with a water damage smoke screen. I you look at the keyboard it looks like someone sneezed, not severe water damage.
