My mother's basement flooded due a busted water heater. The water did considerable damage to her basement. I cut off the flow leaking water and she quickly replaced it with a new water heater.By then the considerable damage had been done. Her insurer, GMAC got Servpro on the job and they ripped off her stock of saved Avon products, claiming that they were water soaked and therefore they were not salvageable. But the cabinet, where they were kept, did not show water damage up to level where her stock was. I took video and photos of the damage before Servpro got on the scene, so there was a rip off. I also called a local public adjuster for her and he thoroughly assessed the damage. As the job is not completed yet, it remains to be scene how good or bad of a job they will do. But the theft, does not bode well how they finish her job.
