Ripoff, fraudulently described items sold and ebay gets a percentage. Won't give full restitution.internet

I have purchased many items on ebay that were fraudulently described. One item, a Nikon lens cost me $610, it was described by the seller as being in excellent condition, and it took $240 to repair it to a useable condition. It had a DEEP scratch on the rear lens and the focusing rings were worn to the point of being gritty. Ebay kept stalling to get full restitution for the cost of the repair, for three months. I had sent copies of receipts for the repair and copies of all emails to the seller.
Since, ebay charges a flat fee to list items for sale AND gets a percentage of the sale, I feel they profitted from the fraud. They sent a check for only part of the cost of the repair, $175, not the entire amount. Then, my computer was hacked and all emails concerning the problem were wiped out of my computer. Now, I make copies of all emails onto a floppy disc, so that I can pursue legal recourse against fraudulent sellers and ebay.
Ebay has a system that is failing in many aspects. Their email system has not been sending copies of questions to sellers and buyers for at least a year. When I posted comments onto their discussion boards concerning the problems, they suspended me from the discussion boards; instead of correcting the many problems on their auction site. They use untrained volunteers to monitor their discussion boards and they do not have authority to correct problems; they only suspend those who voice their opinion of ebay when it is disclossing problems on ebay.
The poor level of consumer protection and their indifference to getting full restitution in the event of fraud or theft is designed to protect their profits. My ebay id: hezaboome
