Defective video card, died after 2 years after I got it.
Wrote to their technical support requesting an RMA.
I get this response:
I am sorry but PNY can not honor your request for an RMA as you have indicated you do not have the required proof of purchase. Please see our warranty statement below.
PNY's Lifetime Replacement Warranty
THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT BE EXTENDED, ALTERED OR VARIED EXCEPT BY A WRITTEN INSTRUMENT DULY SIGNED BY PNY. Warranty coverage requires proof of purchase documentation evidencing the date of purchase (sales receipt or invoice) and original packaging. To obtain warranty service, phone PNY at 1-800-234-4597. The information in this document is subject to change without notice.)
I replied by asking how many of their employees keep all their receipts. I have worked in the computer industry for over 8 years and products with a lifetime warranty, currently worth less than $100, never need a proof of purchase to obtain service.
Just ridiculous.
