AVForce Antivirus Armour Internet Scam
On 12/21/04, I purchased the AVForce software from their website for $44.90. Unfortunately, before I could download the software from the website, my computer crashed and I lost the connection to the download. After bringing the website back up, I tried to look for a way to get help but only found an area where you could send messages to the customer service department. So, I sent one message asking how I could remedy my situation. I got an automatic response back stating that my question would be answered as soon as possible.
At the time, I did not have any type of antivirus protection for my computer, so I was feeling desperate as each minute passed that I spent on the internet. I tried to order the software again (because that was the only option I had) and the website told me I was already a customer, so I ordered it again under a different email address. They had a 30- day money back guarantee, so I figured it wouldn't be a problem getting my money back for the first one that didn't go through. I then attempted to download the program for the second time and this time I was successful at downloading it, but when I tried to run the program it said that there was an error and that the program would not run.
At this point, I checked my email for any type of customer service response and saw that I had received an email from them. The email contained a link to download the software, so I think that I am savednot the case. Just as the computer was finishing downloading, I get a message asking if I want to uninstall the AVForce software. I thought it meant the previous downloaded software that wasn't working, so I said yes.
Well, it completely uninstalled that good software I had just downloaded. I am so frustrated now and proceed to send the customer service people messages asking for their help. To this day, I never received a response. I even tried to send an email to their sales department that they have listed in their user manual and all I got back was a message saying that the email could not be delivered because the address could not be found.
So, now I have two $44.90 charges on my bank account and nothing to show for it from AVForce. They have no phone numbers to call and no addresses to write to. They do not respond to any of the emails sent to them. This company is a complete hoax.
