I visited a walmart in lexington, ky with a valid prescription for hydrocodone from a reputable physician in jaxsonville, fl. My daughter lives in lexington and i had filled a prescription before at this walmart. When i presented the rx., the associate checked with the pharmacist and said it would be about 15 min. I came back 30 min later and was told that it was too soon to have this prescription filled. I have chronic back pain and have beenunder the care of my dr. For 10 years. The pharmaacist had called my dr. To see if it was ok to fill the rx. Early and my dr. Approved an early fill;however they would not fill this
Prescription. If a dr approves an earlyfill of a narcotic for a patient, then why does a pharmacist have the authority to refuse. I have had to suffer from excruciating back pain because walmart would not fill this rx. I want to know why. This walmart location is off man of war in lexington ky.
