When I called the customer service number listed on my mother's credit card, I needed to find out why she had been charged $34.95."Misty" informed me that the charge was for exercise DVDs that had been shipped to my mothers address.
She further explained that it was a monthly membership service and that my mother's call to cancel the membership was not received in time to avoid the charge. Therefore, the DVDs could not be returned for a refund - it was written in their Terms & Conditions.
I explained my mother is 80, can't drive and has been diagnosed with dementia. Misty again recited the Terms & Conditions. I asked to speak to Misty's supervisor and she refused to transfer me. She stated that her supervisor would tell me the exact same thing - no refund. Once again she recited the Terms & Conditions.
Her tone throughout the call was unfriendly and become more hostile as I continued to try to explain the situation and get her to transfer me to someone else. The call ended when she hung up on me.
Their website has only a logo with a phone number. No address. If Misty is an example of their customer service, I will never do business with them again and others should think twice before participating in their monthly DVD program.
