I ordered the trial and clearly read the terms and conditions, which states that you need to contact customer service within 14 days after you order to cancel your membership and not be charged any more or receive any additional product. I sent an email since it only specified that I needed to "contact customer service to terminate your enrollment within 14 days of the date that you enroll in the program". I received an email response from customer service saying "Thank you for your email and update". It told me if I had "further questions" that I could call their number. I was also given a "ticket number" and the status was listed as: closed. This told me that my account was canceled and I would not be charged any additional money or receive any additional product. However, I saw a $149.95 charge on my credit card and I was furious! When I called, I was told that my account was never canceled because I didn't have a "cancellation number" and the only way to get one is to CALL customer service. I sent proof of my email response and asked them to justify in their Terms the wording "contact Customer Service" NOT "call customer service". I was only told that I had to email them with a refund request and they would get back to me in 3-5 days. Within an hour, I had a "deny refund" email. They told me that because my account was still open, I would be charged and that I needed to read the terms and conditions. I think THEY need to read their own terms and conditions!
My plan is to dispute this as an unauthorized charge with my bank. I will also report to BBB (which there are already several complaints!), and I encourage everyone to do the same! I have looked into small claims court as well. I'm sure I will never see that money again. I am so upset that companies like this are still in business, and I helped contribute to keeping their business going... Very disappointing.
