Wal-Mart Pharmacy
Rude, crude and not telling the truth!

I have just about had it with these weasels at Wal-Mart. Not too long ago, we ended our pharmacy relationship at the Jackson, Michigan Wal-Mart because of EXTREME:

1) Rudeness
2) Assault (I was literally shoved out of the way by an over-the-counter drug stocking employee who had grown impatient with my looking at the choices of cold medicines.)

Shortly after, I experienced another EXTREME rudeness incident at another Wal-Mart pharmacy in Jonesville, Michigan... Regarding a simple over-the-counter purchase of pre-colonoscopy meds. They stated I needed a "note" from my doctor. It was NON-PRESCRIPTION! However, they stated I still needed a note from my doctor in order to buy the meds. When I asked them to phone the physician for me, they told me to leave and not come back unless I had the "note".

Since that time, we have found a fantastic family run pharmacy in Jonesville, Michigan by the name of Nash Drugs. However, like many, our health insurance has been canceled and we are trying to purchase our meds as inexpensively as possible.

So I returned, reluctantly, to the Jonesville Wal-Mart today. My purpose was to combine the inexpensive Equate version of Zyrtec and the Equate version of Sudafed. This, in essence, would be the same as my wife's prescription for Zyrtec-D. (Which even in Zyrtec's Equate version, is TWICE the cost of combining the two key ingrediants of Zyrtec-D: Zyrtec and Sudafed.)

Of course, REAL Sudafed is being closely monitored by law enforcement because of meth production. However, Wal-Mart is taking the law into their own hands! They have set up a computer database that monitors customer purchases. They have set there OWN LIMIT to the amount of Sudafed products you can buy! It is WELL BELOW the limits of federal and state laws!

When I asked various pharmacies why Wal-Mart is doing this, the response was; "They don't want to bother with the hassles of having to sell these drugs." So they purposely LOWER the limit a customer can buy! The amount I attempted to buy wouldn't last my wife but TEN DAYS! They were only allowing me a FIVE DAY purchase!!!

Not only was I lied to, the reason I left was the cashiers response to a simple question I asked about the difference between Sudafed and Sudafed PE. She rudely snapped; "You'll have to ask the pharmacist!" Why couldn't she have just said; "If you wait one second, we'll go over and have the pharmacist answer your question for you."

I went right back to Nash Drugs and they are going to help us get generic Sudafed. They know the law and said they would vouch for us in what we are attempting to legally and legitimately accomplish. (Lower our med prices...)

Hey Wal-Mart??!! What makes you think you are above the law??? Oh... Maybe it's all that money...

Bill
