I got my prescription filled with walgreens in union city tennessee yesterday and when I recieved my bottle of pain pills I noticed the bottle didnt look full enough, I had to be at my childs school so I was in a hurry to get back home to pick up my child from school, when i got to my childs school i counted the pills, bc i knew they looked like not enough, the bottle was just not full enough as it usually is... So i counted them, and came up with 80 pills when I should of had 90. I was sitting in my car at my childs schoool, I had my prescription about 30 minutes and after i counted them twice to be sure I didnt miss count, I called Walgreens to tell them what Happened. They told me that couldnt be because They counted their bottle and their numbers were correct so that meant my numbers must of been correct as well. I said well they arent correct sir because I only have 80 pills. He then goes on to tell me that he dont know how this could have happened but he would ask his workers to be sure. He said he questioned them all & all of them said they counted mine right and I should have 90. This man became so rude and mean it was unreal. He accused me of being the lier when I had no reason to lie about it. He 1st told me he watched them count my pills that he was standing right there with them, then he says in another statement that he was out on the floor assisitng a customer "Imagine that, i was working" is what he said. He was smart & sarcastic. He told me all he could do for me was give me back $4.50 out of the $40.00 cash I spent on my prescription and he would let me fill them again next month 3 days early so I would not be out any "therapy" I told him that wasnt the point, the big deal to me was that 10 pills were missing and I think it should have been his main concern to find out the whereabouts of those pills. He then says ARE YOU CALLING MY EMPLOYESS LIERS? Or thieves? I said no sir, not at all, but are you telling me there is no way whatsoever for something like this to happen, he said yea its happened but I dont believe this happend today, he told me he didnt want me to call his manager bc he didnt want to be on the phone all day with corporate. I then asked for his managers number and he gave it to me and offered again the $4.50 and 3day early refill he said it was my constellation to accept the offer and I said no sir Thats not okay, and Im calling your boss. When i Spoke with corp they said nothing about this was acceptable and someone (a supervisor) would be calling me within 2 bussiness days to correct the issue. 20 minutes later a union city number was calling me and it was the walgreens store manager offering me the same thing the pharmacist offered, I asked him if there was a way of finding out for sure what happened, did they have surveilance tapes that could be reviewed? He said yes, but he didnt want to do that, that all he wanted to do was make me satisfied and all I want to do is find out what happened to the 10 missing pills. I will never do bussiness with walgreens ever again, as well as everyone I know, Ive told them all about this and they all say its happened to them before too, or someone they know, but most people count their pills before they leave the parking lot, I didnt because I didnt think I had to, I thought when you get something filled with a pharmacy it should all be there, Didnt think a pharmacy would do something like this. They were more less pointing the finger back at me, and I have no reason to lie about it, I wouldnt of made such a big deal over this If i was lying about it. I wouldnt be taking it as far as I am If i wasnt telling the truth. I just want someone to investigate better and get to the bottom of it. Im sure the surveliance tape says it all, they just act like they arent going to watch it for some reason. Its almost like they are all trying to cover for one another.
