I called their office to see if they were a provider for my insurance and was told they were. I made an appt. It was Oct. Of 2008 and I was charged a co pay and never received a bill. I continued going to see the doctor there and in April was informed that they weren't a provider and never had been. They told me my insurance company sent me a check and they never received that payment.
I got in touch with my insurance company and they sent me a copy of the deposited check which i then forwarded to Premier Med. And they then told me they found the check.in the meantime I rec'd a letter 2 days after they told me i owed them $500 for services dating back to 10/08 saying "Final NOtice". I also rec'd a letter from the doctor stating i was not a patient of this group any longer and they wouldn't transfer any of my medical records until my bill was paid. Then i found out i needed a procedure done and when the drs. Office called this group was told they would not release my records because i owed them money.
In the end they accepted the check, which they said they had not rec'd, and $25.00 i had sent them and took $138.00 off the bill and i paid them the rest. I feel they fraudralently kept me as a patient while the bill added up and then charged me. If they had let me know they were not a provider for my insurance company i never would have gone to them.
