I received this flyer on my Car for a new gym and I called up and made a reservation for the next 100 members special; the flyer had clearly indicated No Contract Or 19.95. So I went into the Presale office and I got baited and switched in less than 6 minutes. They showed me machines (technogym) which I've never heard of, and then floor plan (total 8,000 sq ft which only 5,000 is gym use) no pool, sauna, 1 shower, day care, and PT and a few machines. At this point I was only thinking distance from home and price.
So then the prices came #1 No Contract 0 Down 49.95 monthly with a 30.00 processing fee. This was more expensive then 24 Hr fitness and La fitness.
Option #2 even worse: 199.00 Down and 19.95 a month and the shocker; use of the gym is only Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday and can't be change to conform into my schedule.
Option # 3 the nightmare: 99.00 Down and 29.95 monthly and the special surprise of a 36 month contract. How special! RIPOFF!
Well after I researched this company I realized that this is a Turnkey profit Health Club with 24/7 access with long contracts, minimal staff, and a greedy owner looking for a quick buck. Basically a cheap gym, low end equipment, and hourly inexperienced employees. I immediately 3 day canceled the Contract and joined a better gym nearby at half the cost and more choices.
