My husband and I have been members of Omni Fitness in Collierville, TN since February. We joined Get Fit for the personal training portion of our health program and had to sign a contract which our sales person, Christy, went over the contract with us. We were informed this contract could be cancelled at anytime. The only option for payment was automatic withdrawl on a monthly basis. We signed the contract.
In September 30 days went by without any notification from National Fitness that our payment for August was rejected which threw us behind a month. We finally received a call from National Fitness about the 3rd week in September to inform us that our payment for August was rejected. We made the payment for August, at that time September was due and paid that month, all by check. We made payment arrangements with the Collection Department in October, which the associate was good with and October was paid.
We asked to cancelled this contract back in September was told this contract could not be canceled. That's not what we were told reviewing this contract.in September, my husband was told he could pay it out with a 20% penalty by the Get Fit trainer (expires in February). Just words coming out of his mouth.
Now, as of last night, December 6th, and checking my bank balance, noticed National Fitness compromised our account by withdrawing $346.00 unauthorized card processing, and goes to show National Fitness uses unethical collection practices.
My husband and I are willing to join any civil lawsuits started against National Fitness for their unlawful trade practices, unauthorized card processing, and unethical collection practices.
When Omni Fitness - Get Fit opened their doors in Collierville, TN, and after becoming a member, this company was all in the news, TV and Radio, for these bad practices. Here they go again. National Fitness has till 2:00pm today, December 7, to make restitution to reverse the $346.00 unauthorized charge and cancel this contract. I will make sure this company goes under this time around.
