I was sent a product called "Lipocerin" for weight loss and my credit card was billed for the shipping. The invoice explained that I would be billed another $49 at the end of a trial period and then subsequently $99 plus shipping for a three month supply.
To return the product, I was told to email or call an 888 number for an RMA number. They do not respond to either form of communication. Other individual who are victims of this scam and have simply returned the product were billed $99 for improper packaging.
I contacted a US Postal Inspector who confirmed that this practice is a scam and was advised to contact my credit card company as well as file complaints with the FTC, the US Postal Service, the Florida Attorney General's Office, the Florida Consumer Protection Agency, and the Better Business Bureau. This is mail fraud and identity theft.
