Glycerine Found in EyeDrops was quite possibly a poisonous substitute Chicago Illinois

I went on the internet to purchase some health products and found a site called uniquenutrition.net. I was a little leery as they had a rather lengthy section on how they won't return anything (how I interpreted it) and also sounded like they had numerous shipping problems. (Always read online policies before purchasing. It's not worth the hassle to have to drag your bank into disputes).

I took a dare as I was looking for some rather odd items. One of two, were eyedrops. This were anti-aging eyedrops. Described as N-Acetyl-L-Carnosine eye drops 2 vials (5ml each) Reverse Ocular aging with AGE Breaker N-Acetyl-L-Carnosine! Made by Life Extension.

They were called Brite Eyes III. The ad says it contains 2 proven lubricants (hydroxylmethycellulose & glycerin) that are FDA-approved for ophthalmic use.

GLYCERIN was the substance that started the FDA or Surgeon Generals Office, or both, in the first place. Look it up on the internet if you don't believe me.in those horrible days when the government was actually looking out for our welfare, (a joke), China was exporting glycerine, when one guy, decided to find a cheaper alternative. When nothing went wrong with the distribution, he got a little greedier and tried even a cheaper alternative. He claimed he used it himself. It killed many people.

Recent reports are claiming this is re-occuring today. Do a google search for glycerin, glycerin poison, and the like.

I tried these eyedrops and they gave me a big headache, so I returned them.

I had a delivery confirmation number. I did research and found he also operates cognitivenutrition.com.

Life Extension puts these products out. They were packed poorly in thin bottles of plastic, not glass vials as predicted. They looked home packed, not at all like eyedrops you buy at the drug store. You had to cut the top off, and no matter how precise, it left a rather large hole, bigger than a pea.
They were unmarked, kind of fat plastic tubes. Overly generic. No caps, etc. To put on after you so called "opened" it by cutting the top off.

I have long lists of emails. He never addressed the issue about my return.

After I filed a dispute with my bank, he changed his mind when they gave me a refund. He decided to give me a partial refund. I called him many times, only once with an answer. His new site, cognitivenutrition.com does not have any contact information about himself.

The problems you will get are items not shipped. Also no refunds for non-shipped items. Also items that are suspiciously imported under not so healthy means. I had a order in December of that showed up on December 24. Unusually fast for the Holidays. But out of two items, only one arrived, and there was no indication on the invoice that there was a backorder or unshipped item. It simply stated the order was shipped in complete by all reasonable interpretation.

I called their number and get nothing but a man's voice mail. I emailed and got none, and then a few responses, somewhat encouraging. Yet all just stating more ignorance, like "I will refund you once I receive the item". That when on for months. It was nice the way he included my previous emails that gave him the delivery information.

Then he stated, AFTER the bank dispute, that he does not give refunds for opened items. These are HEALTH items he is selling. So we open up his homebrewed looking package, break the seal, find out it's not what it's supposed to be, and no return? Maybe if it was a more established company with not so generic packaging that was regulated by Food and Health laws.

Imagine, letting your child use something like "Natural Vitamins" and find out their poison. This stuff needs a second look at regulation.
