My husband heard this one on the radio. He calls for the 'free sample' that they advertise... However, it isn't so 'free'. Okay, fine, paying for shipping and handling, I can handle. He didn't fully understand about this being an auto replenishment type of order/scam. The person he talked to, talked in circles. He was told that he could cancel this in 10 days. I checked my credit card statement, they charged me the $9.95 on 7-2-07... For a SMALL padded envelope that MIGHT have cost $. 63-. 95 in shipping BTW! I got another whopping $49.90 charge on 7-9-07.
By my calculations, that didn't give us time to cancel the order before they charged us again. I disputed this charge with my credit card company, and will do so for any further charges from this company. My husband called within the 10 day window (however it was right after the 9th) and was on hold for an HOUR and TEN minutes before someone picked up the phone. I work in the CS field and that is NOT good business. We got a confirmation number to have the order cancelled.
I suggest that if you have been scammed by this company that you call the direct number (408) 247-8967 that Michael from Charlotte listed on here. That is where we got the number from and the number where someone answered after over an hour on hold. We could never get anyone to answer the 1-800-770-8158 number when we called it. I guess this company just expects you to 'give up' being on hold to cancel the order. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
