Smilebright Their "free sample" offer is a scam. Don't fall for it

I ordered a free sample from Premium White Pro about 3 weeks ago. I stupidly believed it was actually free, (except shipping and handling) since every page that led up to the order page said in big bold letters "free sample".
They called me 2 or 3 days after I placed the order on their website to confirm my order for the free trial pen. They also said that as a "thank you" for ordering free trial pen, they would send me a teeth whitening kit each month, and that it would cost $48 a month. I told them then that I didn't want it. I said "I was just trying to order the free sample, I wasn't trying to order the kit. I don't want the kit." She said "ok", so I thought they weren't going to send me anything. A couple of weeks later, I got the pen in the mail, but there still wasn't a charge on my credit card yet. Then today, I got the kit in the mail. I checked my credit card online, and there was a charge for $94 from SMILEBRIGHT. I called them and told them that I told the person who called to confirm the order that I didn't want the kit and they sent it to me anyway and charged my credit card $94. The person I spoke to said that they only had a record of one charge for $48. I told them that it says on my credit card statement online that there is a charge of $94. They kept repeating the line about only one charge in their records, for $48. This went around in circles a few times, and eventually he said he would cancel my subscription and gave me the cancellation number. Apparently, the pen and the kit are from two different companies, because he said they don't deal with the kit and I would have to all another number. I called them and it was the same story about only having one charge on file for $86 or something, and they tried to hide behind the fact that their site says in the terms of service that it's a free 14 day trial and after that, you'll be charged once a month for a subscription if you don't call to cancel it. That may be true, but I told them before I ever received anything that I DIDN'T WANT THE KIT and they sent it to me anyway.
The second person I spoke to said that I could return the kit for a refund, but then when he checked his computer, he said that in order for me to get a refund, I would have had to send the kit back by December 11. I just got the kit today, which is December 16. How could I possibly send it back by December 11th if I haven't even received it yet? Can you say SCAM?
He cancelled the kit and gave me a confirmation number.

Right after I got off the phone with them, I called my credit card company and spoke to the resolution department. When I told them the name of the company, they told me that similar problems with this company are an EPIDEMIC for them right now. I gave them the cancellation numbers each company gave me, and they told me to send the kit back with a tracking number so that the company can't try to play any dirty games with me and claim that they never got the kit back. They said that if the company tries to make any more charges to my credit card, they'll cancel the charge, credit the money back to my card, and go after the company themselves to get the money back.
