DO NOT go to this Dentist!
I went to this dentist because he is in the same office where I used to go as a child. While in for a routine cleaning, he decided all of my fillings needed to be taken out & re-done because they were silver. His reasoning: No one uses silver fillings anymore because they tend to crack after a long time. He said mine looked like they were "going to crack" before long.
I was reluctant because no one wants to think about having their fillings taken out. I had fortunately forgotten about that pain a long time ago & didn't want to re-live it. But, I didn't know much about fillings, or what signs he was looking for, & he warned me that it would cause great pain if/when they did crack, so I trusted his advice as a doctor.
During the procedure as he was using the needle to numb the back of my mouth, I began to hyperventilate. My heart began beating at a frantic pace & he & the nurse sat me up quickly. The nurse explained to me that the needle had missed its target & struck an artery in the back near my throat, sending the numbing medication directly into my bloodstream, like a huge dose of adrenaline. He proceeded to do that twice more before getting it right.
Immediately after the procedure, I felt something was not quite right.
When I closed my mouth, a point on one of my upper teeth mashed into the filling on my bottom tooth & it felt funny. He tried to do something like file it down several times before I left the office. At home, after the numbing wore off, I realized something was VERY wrong because that same thing caused me terrible sharp pains. It felt like there was no filling there at all. Just sharp, painful nerve being struck unexpectedly everytime I shut my mouth or tried to chew anything.
I had to go back the next day or so to have him try to file it down or fix it again, but it didn't help.
I missed several days of work because of it & now I have pain almost every time I eat, sometimes for no reason at all.
To top it off, the office still sends me post cards trying to get me in for another appointment. This guys is a quack! There was nothing wrong with my fillings, he just talked me into a big ridiculous procedure to get money out of my insurance & now I'm left with pain for the rest of my life.
Stay away from this guy!
