My son was signing up for a free sample which was required in order to win a free laptop. The scam was that once you signed up for all these supposed deals, you would get a laptop. However by the time you found out how many forms you needed to fill out, you had no way to go back.
With Appera, It looked like you just had to pay shipping for a free sample there was no mention that wihin less than 2 weeks they would debit my account 64.99 then 59.99 two weeks after that for some continued charge for more product which my son didn't even want in the first place! Even though he returned the product and we asked them to refund, we were told they did not refund only would give a store credit as he was not authorized to return the product! In one month this ripoff company has taken $145.88 from my checking account for some supposed "free sample"! This should be illegal that some group can send you product without your informed consent just so they can help themselves to your money which they have no right to. I complained about the first charge when I discovered it and 2 days later they took out more money!
