I was purchasing bed room set that was advertised on sale at the Ashley Home Furniture store on Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst, NY. I wanted to purchase it using my authorized tax exempt status, however they refuse to deliver it to where i wanted it to go. They stated they could only deliver to the tax exempt organizations business address so i could not use my authorized tax exempt. Next, I had to wait one month until their delivery date. Then they did not call me to confirm the date so they came a day later at their own convenience. Then when the brought the furniture it was damaged with nicks and chips all over it as well as loose parts on the foot boards. The mattress was not the same as the one which was shown to us in the store. It is extremely thin. It has the consistency and thickness of a mattress pad It feels like were sleeping on the box springs. We called the store and they said we could return it but would be charged a 135$ restocking fee so we had to take the loss mind you the bedroom set is only two months old and looks like second hand furniture. Not to mention, we paid 1282.00 for a set that was advertised as 749$ This is the unkindest cut of all, recently i was making the bed and noticed the foot rail separating from the bed. I am so done. They really need to rectify this situation. I have purchased Ashley furniture before, a living room set, just not from the Ashley Home Store and it is doing just fine. Help! Please!!!
