I received a written buy-back offer for my Blackberry. As I had just replaced this almost-new (4 month old) phone with an iPhone, it was just gathering dust. After waiting 7 weeks, I contacted the company and was advised that the black berry arrived with physical damage — a complete lie as the device was in pristine working order. As there is no way to litigate such a case — unless I want to spend the money for small claims — they have a relatively fool proof method of ripping off consumers.
However, if there are enough consumers to pursue, this could be a worthwhile class action. Anyone interested?
